A commission is the opportunity to work closely with and to own a bespoke, original piece of art work by Leigh Sugden, the artist.
Perhaps one of Leigh's paintings has now sold and you would like a similar piece creating or would prefer one of her pieces of art in a specific colour scheme to suit your interior decor?
Any size, twin, triptych, large single piece, you are in control with a commission. Leigh will produce a piece you will love, and work with your interior design, with that special notion that it has been specifically tailored for you and your home.

​PROCESS
The commission process is more straight forward than you would think and I love working closely with clients and designers to provide them with a unique piece of Leigh Sugden Art, which suits their exact requirements.
Dm me via social media, Instagram or Facebook or email with your size requirements in cm and inches if possible. An image of the space that the art is to be commissioned for, is also a must. It helps with colours, an idea of the scale of the room, lighting and your interior design and furnishings, which will assist with my creative process.
After an initial discussion, where we can finalise colours, size and the style you wish to proceed with, we will provide a quote and a purchase order to be signed and completed, along with our T&C’s. Leigh prefer's to discuss the initial brainstorming process, face-to-face, location pending, but during these unusual times, we can always talk on the phone, face-time or via email; technology is our friend :)
Throughout the creation process we will contact you to advise how things are proceeding and if the client wishes, to show images of development, so that if required, adaptations can be made to the ongoing artwork.*No amendments can be made at the end of the process.

​TIMESCALES
Timescales can vary depending upon each brief and Leigh's existing workload, but the client will be advised of this at all times. Typical lead time for a commission at present, is
between 3- 6 weeks. This will alter during busy/seasonal periods and existing diary commitments.

COLLECTION
All artworks will arrive on stretched canvas ready for hanging. ​​Finished paintings can be collected by the client, if local to us, or shipped (UPS/DHL) and are securely packaged, to ensure they will arrive as safely as possible.
*Shipping costs will be calculated dependant upon the location of the client and are in addition to the fee for the painting/commission.
PAYMENT
​​A non-refundable deposit of 50% will be taken to secure all commissioned pieces of art. After the commission is completed, the remaining 50% is requested from the client, prior to dispatch or collection. Payment is via BACS transfer, Klarna, credit or debit card or cash on collection.

COPYRIGHT
​​Leigh Sugden maintains copyright of each purchased painting/s, including commissioned pieces. These can therefore be used for photography images, and prints for future sales. ​

FRAMING
​
We can now offer framing for all paintings and prints.
When commissioning a piece, a further 3 weeks must be considered in addition to the time allowed and agreed to complete the commission.
Any framing costs would be in addition to the artwork purchased or commissioned fee & full competitive quotations will be obtained for the client.
